As a continuation of the many hallway styles that defined my high school years (like I talked about in the Emo Vault Edit), I wanted the next Vault Edit to spotlight the preppy girl. This one feels especially timely because Gossip Girl fashion has been everywhere lately. With the author Cecily von Ziegesar announcing a brand-new book, Blair, set to release in 2027 following the queen of preppy style herself and my all-time favourite character, Blair Waldorf, it feels like the perfect time to revisit the preppy girl style. My high school years were right in the middle of the original Gossip Girl era. I still remember rushing to finish my homework or even hanging up on my friends mid-conversation just to make sure I didn’t miss an episode. It was and still is one of those classic coming-of-age dramas that continues to inspire fashion years later.Blair was known for her structured blazers, high-collared blouses, plaid skirts, and layers of pearls, just to name a few of her iconic staples. And of course, the headbands and knee-high socks that finished off her signature Upper East Side looks. For this Vault Edit, I pulled together my favourite preppy Sims clothes and outfits CC inspired by the preppy girl style. Blazers, pleated skirts, oxford-shirts, loafers, knee-high socks and the many other classic preppy essentials for the perfect preppy Sim.
