The Emo Outfits CAS Vault Edit holds a piece of my heart and it’s packed with Sims 4 CC emo clothes and outfit staples. My high school years were peak emo. I had the side bangs, the angled haircut, black eyeliner, stacks of rocker bracelets and band tees on constant rotation. I spent almost every weekend in downtown Toronto at local small concert halls seeing bands like Dashboard Confessional, My Chemical Romance, Jimmy Eat World and Taking Back Sunday. It was one of the funnest times of my life and even now as I approach 40 I still incorporate pieces of that era into my wardrobe. The quintessential emo outfit from my high school years that still holds up today consists of striped long sleeves layered under band shirts, fishnet tights with ripped skirts or skinny jeans, studded belts, chokers and beat-up Converse. What makes emo style so enduring is that it’s easy to reinterpret. You can lean into the classic black-and-white contrast, or soften it with oversized silhouettes and subtle layering. Stripes, fishnets, distressed denim they all still work today and have stood the test of time.
