Paris has always been one of my biggest inspirations for design both at home and in-game. Strolling through the wide boulevards eating fresh croissants or my newest obsession (pain suisse) while admiring all the beautiful old buildings is hands down one of my favourite vacations. I have always loved Haussmann-style apartment interiors which are characterized by high ceilings, intricate mouldings, herringbone or chevron wood floors and marble fireplaces. My Pinterest boards are filled with Parisian inspired interiors for when I spontaneously move to Paris one day which has always been on my bucket list. Until that dream becomes a reality my Sim will be living her best life in my dream Parisian home! 1. Thonet Bentwood Bistro Chairs
The Thonet bentwood bistro chair is one of the most iconic pieces of furniture that immediately makes me think of Paris. These chairs became popular in the 1850s when the Paris cafe scene exploded and Thonet chairs became part of the city’s visual identity. Herringbone and Chevron floors are quintessential Parisian and this style of flooring is a timeless look that can be incorporated not only into Parisian style builds but also modern interiors. Some of the top floors linked below:

Parisian rooms are commonly anchored by beautiful fireplaces. The fireplaces are made from stunning veined marble or stone. Mouldings are a hallmark of Haussmann inspired architecture and can be incorporated in numerous ways during your build including wall panelling, ceiling medallions, crown moulding and elaborate door and window mouldings.
